Independence Day Poem

It was midnight and the moon was the witness of the celebration.

It was midnight and the moon was the witness,
The Tri-color was flying freely and country was in Freedom Dress.
Gone were the days of mourning with end of slavery.
It was the new Morning gifted with courage and bravery.

Thousands have sacrificed their lives for this freedom,
Never forget their sacrifices in the name of Freedom,
There is a price paid with blood for this freedom,
Every drop of your blood is liable to Preserve this freedom

On this day we declared our Independence,
with Joy and Prosperity.
Lets celebrate this day,
with Pride and liberty
